It's not a crime to grow kids' minds!
Children love a good mystery. The Mystery Shop provides an interactive, participatory
mystery that gets children involved and thinking.
Our CHILDREN'S MYSTERY (Grades 3-6) starts with a short play, presented by
professional actors, that outlines the "case." (PLEASE NOTE: in keeping
with family-sensitive values, there are NO murders in our children's mystery
programs -- only good, clean baffling fun!) The audience (up to 100) work
in teams to solve the mystery. The children must solve riddles, puzzles and coded messages. They can also "buy" clues with official Mystery Shop
Investigation Bucks.
As much fun as our play offers, The Mystery Shop offers your children so much more:

Teamwork: Each child contributes toward a solution as part of a randomly chosen team.

Friendly competition: Teams compete against each other.

Observation and recall: Clues are hidden within the play so children will have to listen carefully and
remember what they heard.

Decision-making: Clues and hints can be bought but there aren't enough official Mystery Shop
Investigation Bucks available to buy all the clues. The kids have to spend carefully.

Deductive reasoning: While the puzzles and riddles aren't hard, they will take some thought and
concentration.
HISTORY MYSTERY (Grades 4-6). THE BRITISH ARE COMING! THE
BRITISH ARE COMING ... and our hero Paul Revere has lost his horse on the eve of
his famous ride. Join the glory-driven Paul as he frantically searches for his
stolen steed.
YOUNGER DETECTIVES (Grades K-2) will have fun with
age-appropriate puzzles to solve a mystery geared specifically for them! The
children need to know their numbers and the alphabet, but they don't have to
know how to read. The puzzles are challenging, but accessible. The Mystery Shop provides the plot, the actors, the clues and all the other
materials your kids will need to solve the mystery. All the children have to bring are their minds and laughter.

MYSTERY
WORKSHOP (Grades 4 and up). As part of your M.O.D. (Master Of
Deduction) Squad training, we'll acquaint you with the basic elements of any
mystery in this lively discussion. Four and eight session options are also
available.
For mixed groups, we suggest our
STORYTELLING
PROGRAM. This ensemble-based program offers the combined talents of storytellers and
actors to create a unique entertainment package. The timeless art of storytelling is old-fashioned magic that
will enchant young and old alike. The Mystery Shop blends some of the best music and tales of all time: stories funny and spooky, tales classic and modern, legend and folklore,
music and song -- and plenty of audience participation. It's perfect family entertainment.

four 1-hour sessions designed to unleash imagination as participants create and
present their own unique stories!
MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS will enjoy one of our
